Reaching new heights with solar energy
The roof of the Schutzhütte is now completely finished and sits majestically atop our construction project. Thanks to the innovative integrated solar modules, we are sustainably harnessing the power of the sun to supply the new lifestyle hotel in Willingen with energy.
A LOOK THROUGH THE WINDOW
Now that the snow in the valley has given way to milder temperatures and the construction site is fully accessible again, we’ve made the most of the moment: almost all the windows are already installed! Only a few pairs are still missing on the ground floor, but they will follow shortly.
The big advantage: the building is now protected from the elements. With a few targeted heating measures, it’s already possible to work really well inside. You can see progress every day: more and more drywall is going up and the individual rooms are visibly taking shape.
SUSTAINABLE ENERGY GENERATION AT THE SCHUTZHÜTTE
A milestone has been reached: the roof of our Schutzhütte is finished and now sits proudly atop our construction project. Perhaps you’ve already noticed in the photos that some tiles have a darker shimmer? That’s no coincidence, but our secret weapon for the future!
As one of the very first businesses, we are relying on innovative, fully integrated PV modules. These blend seamlessly into the roofline, are particularly low-maintenance, and look incredibly stylish too.
With the help of this technical masterpiece, we can supply the Schutzhütte with solar energy in the best possible way and further promote sustainable electricity generation. This corresponds exactly to our ecological idea, which, in addition to many other values, underlies the concept of the Schutzhütte.
In the following weeks, some further work will progress. While the construction of the drywall walls in the interior continues, the facade will soon be insulated and the balcony railings will then be attached. The model room is also in the works and will soon be presented by us.
All in all, the construction of the Schutzhütte is progressing really quickly. Even if our team—admittedly—occasionally casts a longing glance over at the skiers on the slopes, we are thrilled about every bit of progress 😉
Note: The construction progress refers to the status in January 2026. Changes and adjustments are possible in the further course – but the goal remains: a very special place to feel good.
