A glimpse of the boho flair
It’s a magical moment on every construction site: that instant when the tools are put down and, for the first time, you get a real feel for the space. Our “MEDIUM View” model room is almost finished—and we can’t wait to give you a first look.
THE ROOM’S FOUNDATION
An incredible amount has happened here over the past few weeks. While there’s still hammering and drilling going on in the rest of the building, our model room already has the cozy feel you’ll find with us later on.
The foundation for the modern Schutzhütte vibe is our finished surfaces. We chose a floor that not only looks great, but also feels amazing under bare feet. It radiates a natural warmth that perfectly contrasts with the smooth, modern-designed walls. For the walls, we’re going with soft natural tones that harmonize beautifully with the reclaimed-wood-look accents.
DESIGN MEETS FUNCTION
The Schutzhütte model room is already almost fully furnished. With the MEDIUM View type, our focus was on using every square meter in a smart and beautiful way:
The bed is the centerpiece of the room. With a tall, upholstered headboard and a view over the balcony to the Willingen mountain scenery, it practically invites you to snuggle right in.
Wardrobes and shelves are also integrated in a way that offers plenty of storage without making the room feel cramped.
Modern accents like the matte black steel elements on lights and fittings add that “industrial touch” that rounds out the modern look.
WHY "MEDIUM VIEW"?
The name says it all! The window frames the landscape like a living painting. We placed the seating in the room so your gaze almost automatically drifts outside. Whether it’s with a cup of coffee in the morning or a book in the afternoon—the view is your constant companion.
An open bathroom concept also supports an airy sense of space.

THE PURPOSE OF THE MODEL ROOM IN THE SCHUTZHÜTTE
Even though most things already almost match our vision, the model room is our most important testing phase! For example, we check the light paths and the overall lighting ambience. Is the reading lamp bright enough? Is the layout correct, etc.
The look and feel of the materials used is also carefully tested. The textiles should feel soft against the skin, and the wood elements should look natural yet refined. We use this time to put every detail through its paces so your stay is perfect from the very first second.
At this point, it’s worth mentioning that some room details may still change by the time we open. But we’ll continue to stay true to our design line.
Note: Construction progress refers to the status as of April 2026. Changes and adjustments may be made as work continues—but the goal remains: a truly special place to feel at home.
