The construction of the Schutzhütte design hotel is progressing. While the foundations have been completed, the first walls are now being erected, providing a glimpse of the future room layout in the basement.
The foundation of the Schutzhütte
The right foundation ensures the best possible start to the construction project. Once the excavation work had been completed, work could begin on the foundations for the refuge. To ensure that the future design hotel stands securely, the ground on the site was carefully prepared and provided with modern insulation so that the foundation could then be built on top of it.
This phase of the construction project has now been completed and the basement is slowly but surely taking shape. Three construction cranes are now in use and the team around the construction crew continues to grow. In this way, the challenges of the Willingen construction project can be realized safely and to the highest quality.
Each wall creates a room
Tons and tons of building material in the form of concrete, stone and steel are moved to bring the objects to the desired location. In the meantime, more and more walls are being built at the shelter construction site. This gives us a wonderful insight into the future room layout of the basement. For those of us who are familiar with the construction drawings, this is a completely surreal step in the project. Suddenly, the planned rooms begin to take on real shape and can blossom even further in our minds.
But this picture is not all. You are already rewarded with a view of the Willinger Ettelsberg when you enter the construction site of the Schutzhütte design hotel. A view that will appear even more breathtaking from the next floors.
And this is just a small part of the wonderful surroundings that offer all kinds of leisure activities for you.
What's next for the Schutzhütte?
The next step is to start constructing the ceiling of the basement. This will complete the rough construction of the first floor. The shelter will then slowly but surely grow in height and the first floor will be constructed.
