Interview with Arndt Brüne from Skywalk

Germany's longest suspension bridge

At an incredible 665 meters, the Skywalk in Willingen is the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Germany and the third longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world. A spokesman for this new Willingen landmark, Arndt Brüne, is available for an interview.

What makes Willingen and its region so special?

Arndt Brüne:

The beautiful low mountain range landscape with its many leisure facilities surrounded by diverse nature.

What specifically does Willingen offer tourists?

Arndt Brüne:

A huge variety of attractions in a small town, and all in the middle of Germany.

What can our future guests look forward to when they visit the Skywalk?

Arndt Brüne:

Here’s to heart palpitations and feelings of happiness on Germany’s longest suspension bridge. One hundred meters above the ground with a view of the Mühlenkopf ski jump.

Who are the attractions particularly suitable for?

Arndt Brüne:

For all guests with a taste for adventure, from toddlers to the elderly. However, you should be physically fit.

Is there an insider tip? What should you definitely do when you visit?

Arndt Brüne:

My recommendation is to travel via the Ettelsberg cable car and take the circular route to the Skywalk. On the opposite side of the Mühlenkopfschanze, a short hiking trail leads to the Graf Stolberg Hütte. There you can enjoy the view over a delicious meal and then return via the circular route.

What considerations are there for the future?

Arndt Brüne:

We are currently planning a large playground at the Mühlenkopfschanze, but that will take some time. Otherwise, we are not at a loss for new ideas and innovations.

How important is new accommodation like the Hotel Schutzhütte for the region?

Arndt Brüne:

New hotels like the Schutzhütte are very important, the place as a whole has to keep adapting and renewing itself to the spirit of the times. I am very pleased that there are always businesses that are being established and expanded here.

What else would you like to pass on to our future guests?

Arndt Brüne:

The future guests of the Schutzhütte have shown a lucky hand both in their choice of hotel and in their choice of vacation destination. I wish them positive vacation experiences that they will never forget.
